The E111 from/ EHIC Card (which enabled someone to claim free state-provided healthcare when they travelled to other European countries) is no longer valid in Europe for residents of the UK and Gibraltar. This means that when travelling to European countries it is essential to have health insurance.
However, some benefits are;
- travel via the green channel at airports and
- mobile roaming is still available for Gibraltar/UK citizens.
